MN STUDENT SURVEY

The Minnesota Student Survey (MSS) is one of the longest-running youth surveys in the nation. It is a triennial survey that began in 1989. The survey is an anonymous statewide school-based survey conducted to gain insights into the world of students and their experiences. The MSS will be administered to students in grades five, eight, nine, and 11.

Questions on the survey are about many topics relating to young people’s lives. The survey asks about how well school is going, future plans, out-of-school activities, physical and mental health, relationships, substance use and more. High school students are asked about sexual behavior. This useful information about their thoughts and behaviors helps communities and schools develop effective programs and provide better services.

Students in grade eight, nine, and eleven will be taking the survey on March 30. The survey is expected to take 30-50 minutes to complete. Students will need to complete the survey in a single session, which means they will not be able to pause the survey and come back to it later. Parents have the option to opt out their student from participating in the survey. If you wish to opt out your student please click here to complete the form.

WORLD WEAR SHOE COLLECTION

The ROCORI Environmentalist club is excited to announce that we are starting the World Wear Shoe Collection again. Our club will be sure we are helping our community first by sorting out anything needed for our ROCORI Area Community Closet. The collection bins are placed at all school sites and in the DEF. We plan to collect shoes until Earth Day in April. You will find the flyer attached and please notice we are not able to collect winter boots or flip flops. Please let me know if you have any questions. We appreciate your help!
