What is it?

The lymphatic system is part of the circulatory system that carries lymph, a liquid that is like plasma. Thy system carries is liquid to the heart and around the body. There are about 200 lymph nodes around the body that contain white blood cells.

Functions

This system does many things including:



  • transpots and absorbs fatty acids
  • transports white blood cells to and from the bones and other parts of the body.

  • Lymphedema

  • elephantiasis,
