Important Bus Information

Beginning October 14, 2021:

Any student who normally rides Bus #10 with Priscilla will be taking Bus #7 with Annette for at least the next month. We will provide any updates when we have them.


Save the Date! We're welcoming students and families of the class of 2026 to AHS on Thursday, October 28th from 6-8 pm for an info session and interactive tour of AHS. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet staff, ask questions, see our building in action, and learn about academic and co-curricular offerings at AHS. Although this may only be applicable to some high school parents, any help to share this info would be appreciated.

Junior Class Meeting

There will be a JR class meeting on Tuesday, October 19th during WIN in the auditorium, on the agenda is to discuss NHS requirements AND community Service.

Boosters Fundraiser

Please help us raise money for Boosters! Pick up your reusable bags at Stop and Shop next time you are shopping! Each bag costs $2.50 and boosters gets $1.00 for each bag purchased!!!


Socktober Fundraiser

It is now officially Socktober! Did you know the number one requested items from the homeless are socks? It is getting into the colder months of the year, and we want to help the homeless people stay warm! The point of socktober is to provide as many homeless people with new, warm socks for fall and winter. Please bring in socks, so you can help someone in need. There is a collection box in the front lobby. Thanks for helping.

Singers will be asked to:

*Sing 16 bars of a song of your choice

*Learn a song to sing with the group

GSA Information

Please join Mentors Violence Prevention in welcoming Kevin Pajaro-Mariez, Assistant Director of Equity and Inclusion at Phillips Exeter Academy as he gives a presentation on the effects of Patriarchal Masculinity on the Self and Others on Thursday, October 21st, from 2:45 - 4:00 in room 129-131. All are welcome to attend!!

Guidance Information

11, 12: Second college mini-fair this Thursday, October 14th during WIN Block in the gym. If you are interested in attending, your WIN Block teacher will give you a pass on Thursday. The list of expected attendees is posted in Mrs. Foley's window.

NACAC is hosting virtual college fairs this year. Register for free at virtualcollegefairs.org. Students give them an enthusiastic "thumbs up" because it's so easy to chat live with college representatives or drop in on live Zoom sessions offered by hundreds of colleges on a single day.

Are you interested in taking an AP exam in a subject which isn’t offered at AHS or in a subject which is but didn't fit in your schedule? Please see Mrs. Saurman in Guidance by November 1st to sign up for an Exam Only AP Exam.

12: The SAT is tomorrow. Please report to the downstairs double room (129/131) no later than 7:45 am. Bring two #2 pencils and a calculator. You may bring water ONLY into the testing room. Please do not bring your book bag. Phones will be collected and secured in Guidance during the test.

ProArts is a consortium of seven Boston-based art schools, including Berklee College of Music, Boston Conservatory at Berklee, Boston Architectural College, Emerson College, Massachusetts College of Art and Design, New England Conservatory, and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts at Tufts University. River’s Edge Community Garden is hoping you will join us for our fall work day!

Where: 67 Friend Street, Amesbury (behind AIHS and All Saints Church)

When: Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 8AM -2 PM. Lunch will be served.

Who: All are welcome. Be ready to spend time outdoors. You can come for all or part of the day. If you are interested,

What: Teams will be doing different tasks such as-

Planting fruit trees, cutting back hedges, removing a fence, clearing up the vegetable gardens, raking leaves, scraping paint, helping build a Gaga Pit for games

Why: Get community service hours, meet new people, and have fun!


What: Cemetery Cleanup - Picking Up Sticks, Trash and Debris

Who: Any AHS student along with Mr. Jancewicz (Room 229)
When: Date/Time To BE Scheduled with Mr. J in Rm. 229
Where: Union Cemetery off Rte 110 (Haverhill Rd.) & Summit Ave.
>>>Meet near the WWI German Cannon and stone wall just at an angle from the gas station & Rite Aid
How: Bring Masks, Gloves, Hand-Sanitizer, Warm Clothes (just in case it's cold, wet and/or windy) and a good attitude. If you have bags or a plastic bucket, that would also help.

What: Historical File Sorting – Sorting, Saving & Recycling

Who: Any AHS student along with Mr. Jancewicz (Room 229)
When: Thursdays from 2:30 to 3:15 PM or Date/Time To BE Scheduled with Mr. J
Where: Room 229 – 2nd Flr. of AHS

How: We will preserve important documents to share with our AHS Library, History Dept. & the Amesbury Carriage Museum. Bring Masks, Gloves and a good attitude.
