Take your felting to the next level with this extensive three day workshop with Studio 907's Beth Marx. Learn to make seamless felted garments, understand how to use a resist, make your own patterns and de-mystify shrinkage calculations.


The day prior to the workshop is optional and will be spent shopping for fabric for your felted project in the downtown Los Angeles Fashion/Fabric District where a bevy of high-end gorgeous silks and other fabrics can be found at some of the best prices ever.


Come to sunny Southern California and join Beth for this fun, motivating hands-on workshop where you will be creating your own unique, wet felted, seamless reversible garment (preferably a vest).

Three Full Days + an optional fabric shopping day prior to the workshop.

The Los Alamitos felting workshop is three full days Friday 3/23/18 thru Sunday 3/25/18 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. each day. A material list will be provided upon registration.


Thursday 3/22/18 is an optional fun fabric shopping day in Los Angeles. We will be meeting in Long Beach at 9 a.m. and will take the Metro Blue Line train 50 minutes to the Fashion District in downtown Los Angeles for hours of fabric shopping. Lunch at a fun LA restaurant will follow where we can do a show-and-tell of our fabrics. This is a unique opportunity to shop with Beth and get the scoop on her favorite fabric shops in downtown LA for the best prices ever on fabrics. Lunch and transportation to/from LA is included in the price. Prior students have said that this day alone was worth the price of the whole workshop!

About Beth

Beth is internationally known for designing and creating fashionable and sophisticated nuno felted wearables. Her felting process is organic mixing texture, textiles, color and pattern. She has taught extensively and has created the "Easy Peasy Calculation Sheet" to demystify the shrinkage calculations. Her felted wearables have walked the runway, are worn by theme park characters and are sold in high end boutiques and galleries.
