Last Week of KISD's Kindness Challenge!

We are still encouraging students and staff to participate in Character Strong’s 30 Days of Kindness. Kindness will not stop the spread of the virus, but the hope is to brighten someone’s day and add some positivity to our lives and community.

You can e-mail our counselor, Mrs. Benavides if you'd like more information or if you'd like to share how your family is participating in this challenge.

Last Week to Order a Yearbook Online!

If you'd like to order a yearbook, please go to the Balfour website or click on the image and place your order through May 1st. Our yearbooks are $20 each and will be ready during the month of May.

Distribution information will be sent as soon as we learn from Katy ISD how that can best be planned and scheduled. Thank you!

The Library continues to support online learning by providing additional free online resources. Please check the new library resources and activities page in your child's learning board. You'll learn about thousands of available eBooks in Capstone Interactive, Destiny Discover, MackinVia, and Sora! There are tutorials on all these applications and an optional Poetry Activity. Enjoy!

Students Experiencing Homelessness: If you have lost housing due to economic hardship, complete the Student Residency Questionnaire to determine if you are eligible for services through the McKinney-Vento Act. Email the completed form to and the District Homeless Liaison will contact you to discuss eligibility. More information on this act is available here and on the District webpage at

Face Covering

Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo signed a new mandating that everyone over the age of 10 wear a face covering when outside their home. This order will be in effect at 12:01AM on Monday, April 27, 2020 and will continue until May 26, 2020 at 11:59PM.
