What Are the Long Term Effects...
OF ANIMAL CLONING?
HOW DOES ANIMAL CLONING WORK?
For an animal to be cloned, scientists take a skin cell from the animal that is going to be cloned. Next, they then take an unfertilized egg and remove the nucleus. Afterwards, they put the skin cell next to the nucleus free egg and take the nucleus out of the skin cell and place it into the egg. Cell division occurs when special chemicals are added and an embryo is made. The early stage embryo is implanted into the makeshift mother. The baby born from that egg is a clone of the first animal.
This is an embryo when its nucleus is being sucked out. The thing on the left holds the embryo in place, the thing on the right sucks the nucleus out.
Embryos are living things, this one right here, is a human.
