We'll celebrate the week with these lunchtime activities.
· Tuesday: Fishing for Kindness: Students may fish for random acts of kindness to perform
· Wednesday: Speak with Good Purpose Day: ASB and Military Kids Club will invite students to write out thank you notes and compliments for one another.
· Thursday: Take the Kindness Pledge: Students will sign the CMS Kindness Pledge
· Friday: Wear RED for Kindness!

8th Gr. CoSA and CHS Electives Preview: Tuesday, Jan. 22 at 2:00 pm-3:00 pm in the CHS Theater. Parents are welcome to attend.
Disneyland Field Trip: Choir and Beginning Band will meet in Granzer Hall on Wednesday morning at 7:00am and will return by 7:00pm.
California Healthy Kids Survey: The survey will be administered to all 7th graders on Thursday. For more information and a sample survey, click on the link http://chks.wested.org/

The Lively Family: Many of you know our wonderful science teacher, Kristen Lively. This meal train was created to support the Lively family as their 4 year old son, Joshua, battles neuroblastoma, an aggressive type of childhood cancer. From CUSD: DEA Partners with Education to address Prevention and Discuss the Reality of Drug Abuse. I Chose My Future ! On January 31, 2018, there will be a special assembly presented to our 8th-12th grade students. There will also be a community presentation at 6:30 p.m. at Coronado High School. Drug Enforcement Agent (DEA), Rocky Herron will speak about the reality and dangers of drug use with a focus on marijuana and prescription drugs.
Rocky Herron is a DEA agent with over 28 years of experience. He has presented to schools since 2007 and has spoken to over 80,000 young people across seven countries. He has a Bachelor of Arts in Government, and a Masters in Education and was awarded the US Attorney's "Excellence in Pursuit of Justice" Award in 2018.
The Life of Kids Online-What Parents Need to Know With Dr. Rienzi Haytasingh (click for details)

- Parents will learn how to maximize the positives and minimize the negatives
- Work towards minimizing harmful and dangerous consequences
