What are Dwarf Planets
Dwarf planets are rocky, icy objects. They are larger than comets and asteroids, but smaller than planets.
As you can see there are 2 mysterious white dots on the surface. Nasa and other scientists are still trying to figure out what the lights are.

How big are they
Eris is the biggest Dwarf planet we know. It is 1,500 miles( 2,400 kilometers )in diameter. The smallest a Dwarf planet can be is about 185 miles( 300 kilometers ) in diameter.
Where are they found
Ceres is the closest to the sun.It is found in the asteroid belt. The rest of them are found in the outer solar system beyond Neptune, the Kuiper belt.

What are the known Dwarf planets
There are 6 official Dwarf planets.The we know are Eris, Ceres, Makemake, Pluto, Haumea which is oval in shape, and unknown v774104. But there not the only Dwarf planets, there is also Charon, Orcus, Sedna, Quacar, Varuna, and Exion.
