INTRODUCTION
In this website I'm going to be showing you what photosynthesis is , how it works and explain what a chloroplast is. I'll also have pictures of what photosynthesis does & a couple of pictures of a structured chloroplast .
WHAT PHOTOSYNTHESIS IS
converting light energy to chemical energy and storing it in with the sugar. This occurs in plants.Plants need only light energy.
HOW PHOTOSYNTHESIS WORKS
It happens in plants because they have chlorophyll. Chlorophyll is the pigment that makes plants green. Chlorophyll captures the Sun's energy and uses it to make sugars out of carbon dioxide from the air and water. The sugars make a plant root, and leaves so that they can grow.
CHLOROPLAST
- The food producers of the cell. The organelles are only found in plant cells and some protists such as algae. They convert light energy. Animal cells do not have a chloroplast.
- Chloroplasts work to convert light energy of the Sun into sugars that can be used by cells. The entire process is called photosynthesis and it all depends on the little green chlorophyll molecules in each chloroplast.
