Causes of The American Revolution

Navigation Acts
The Navigation Acts was created to start enforcing mercantilism with in the thirteen colonies. The two most important rules while trading between colonies was that they could only trade with English colonies and when trading they had to use colonial ships; the second rule was all trade had to go to England before its final destination so that England could tax the traded goods. The Sugar Act was placed so that French West India couldn't import sugar to the colonies, which made the colonists angry because they had to pay more money to the British for sugar from Britian West India. The most significant impact from the Navigation Acts was the resentment towards England (the mother country) and stifling on the colonial manufacturing.
The Proclamation of 1763
The Proclamation of 1763 was written after the French and Indian war. King Goerge the III issued the Proclamation to avoid even more tension between the colonists and the Indians and to save England money. The colonists got angry with King Goerge because they fought for that land and believed that they had the right to move there and that it was wrong for King Goerge to take that away from them. While most colonists obeyed the Proclamation others disobeyed the Proclamation and moved west of the Appalachian Mountains.
The Stamp Act
The Stamp Act was the taxing of anything printed on paper by the colonists in order to prove that they paid the tax the colonists had to get their paper stamped by a Tax Collector. The King and England created The Stamp Act to pay debt from the French And Indian War. Samuel Adams and the Commitees of Correspondence protested The Stamp Act they would boycott, which is when people don't do or use what they would uassually to make a point, and they would protest which caused other colonists to do the same. Samuel Adams created the Sons of Liberty, a group of men that would protest Britians law some times using violence to express their anger. The Stamp Act Congress was a group of men deciding what would be best for the colonies, they discussed having only one Colonial government should tax the colonies, they also sent a letter to King Goerge III asking him to repeal the act. Benjamin Franklin said that the King should repeal this act so that the colonies could stop protesting and prevent a revolution. King Goegre lll had no other choice but to repeal The Stamp Act, the colonists were very excited about the Act being repealed but they still didn't agree with the Parliament in many situations.
Quartering Act
After the protests due to The Stamp Act Britian decided it would be best to send Red Coats (British soldiers) to make sure that the colonists were and control. The Quartering Act was when Britian forced every colonist to house and feed a soldier should the soldier wish to live there. The two major issues the colonists had was that the soldiers could search any house they wanted to because of a Blank Search Warrent which gives them the right to burst through any door in any house, and the second biggest problem was that the colonists lost their rights because they basically had no privacy in their own home. The Writs of Assistance was when the colonists housing the soldiers had to pay even more money because they were housing an extra person who would not help pay for anything.
Townshend Acts
The Townshend Acts was the taxing of tea, glass, paper, and other house held items also the colonists had to pay military taxes do to the Quartering Act. The Daughters of Liberty protested by making their own cloth instead of buying Britians cloth which had also been taxed. In 1770 the Townshend Acts were repealed but Britain continued to tax tea to show that they still had power over the colonies. The Sonos of Liberty continued to protest using violence, the people they would target was British officials and tax collectors.
Boston Massacre
On March 5, 1770, colonists surrounded British soldiers, the colonists started taunting the soldiers and then the soldiers started to fire into the crowd the first man to die instantly was an African American 5 colonists died but it caused even more resentment towards Britian. Samuel Adams responded to the Boston Massacre by starting the Propaganda with the British. John Adams, Samuel Adams cousin, decided to represent the soldiers after the Boston Massacre.
Tea Act & Boston Tea Party
The Tea Act allowed only British West India to sell tea to the colonies. The colonists were unhappy with the Tea Act because they didn't want to pay import taxes to Britain, even though it lowered the overall price on tea. The Sons of Liberty dressed up as Native Americans and poured 342 crates of tea overboard.
Coercive Act (Intolerable Acts)
The colonists called the Coercive Act the Intolerable Acts because of how horrible the Acts were. The first out of four enforced laws is that the colonists couldn't have town meetings, the second states that Britain gets more control over the colonies, the third says that the colonists had to provide a home and food for the British soldiers also known as the Quartering Act, and the fourth and final law that was enforced is Britain stopped all trade between Britain and Boston. The other colonies became very frustrated with these laws and started to fight back.
American Revolution
The American Revolution was a fight between Britain and the 13 colonies who wanted to be free from Britain's rule. The main social causes of the American Revolution was the fact that Britain had left the colonies alone for over 100 years then after the French and Indian War they come back and start asking for all this money and they're taxing all these items that the colonists use causing the colonists to spend more money which they don't wan to do. The British started to tax tea, glass, paper, and imported goods, also Britain sent soldiers to help stop the colonists form protesting so much. I think that the colonists were justified by declaring them free from British rule.
