In Art class, the students of 4H learned about and designed new copper tubing. We discussed how tubes are used to move liquids here in our building. This activity holds a special interest because they can see the tubing going into the new and updated portions during this time of construction.

Counselor's Corner

STOP, WALK & TALK! During the next month all students will be learning and practicing what to do when someone annoys them. The first step is to politely ask them STOP and explain what the annoying behavior is. Students will also learn, that when someone asks you to STOP, you should STOP right away. However, some children may continue the annoying behavior so step 2 is to WALK away or try to ignore the behavior. If the behavior continues, next a student should TALK to a trusted adult to get some help. These are good rules for in school and in life. You can reinforce this lesson by using the same rules with siblings. If your child TALKS to you about a problem, be sure to ask them if they asked the other person to STOP and WALK away first. This will empower children to learn how to deal with annoyances. For more tips on dealing with difficult behaviors, contact Ms. Shaw, School Counselor at 610-489-5000 X41207 or LShaw@methacton.org
