PHYSICAL PROPERTY
Definition:A characteristic of a substance that can be observed without changing the substance.
Examples:Odor, taste, and texture
CHEMICAL PROPERTY
Definition:A characteristic that is observed when a substance interacts with another substance
Examples:burning, rust, fireworks
PHYSICAL CHANGE
Definition: A change that alters the form or appearance of a material but does not make the material into another substance .
Examples:Wood braking, watermelon braking, cutting paper
CHEMICAL CHANGE
Definition:A change in matter that produces new substance.
Examples:Digesting food, mixing chemicals, making lemonade
Four indicators:Formation of gas, formation of precipitation, liberation of heat, light or some sort of light, distinct change in color
