Parent Teacher Conferences - November 19th - 1-4pm; 5-8pm
Hello Fraser Families,
This year’s Parent Teacher Conferences is a virtual event which takes place on November 19th from 1:00-4:00 pm, and 5:00-8:00 pm. You will be scheduling your individual conference times to meet virtually with your child’s teachers through our Parent Portal. In order to do this, you will need to have set up your Parent Portal/Unified Classroom account. If you already have an account to access Parent Portal/Unified Classroom, no action is needed. However, if you do not have an account, please fill out the Parent Portal Agreement by clicking on the following link. Once this is completed, we can provide you with the credentials you need to complete the process.

You will be able to begin scheduling your conference on Thursday November 12, 2020 at 08:00 AM and will close on Wednesday November 18, 2020 at 08:00 PM. If you have any questions, please call the Main Office on 586-439-7203.
11th Grade PSAT/NMSQT - Thursday, October 29th
If you signed up your junior to take the PSAT/NMSQT, they will take the exam on October 29th. By taking this test, students compete for the National Merit Scholarship. This test is good practice and predictor of a student's SAT score. It will help identify what areas could still use improvement before the SAT college entrance exam in April. FREE BREAKFAST, in the Fra’ Cafe, will be offered to all students who are testing on the morning of October 29th. Students may enter through the main doors, Bus Doors, or Klein side.
Students should report at normal start time and no later than 7:30 am. Please have your child check their email for location details. No late entries will be allowed. Students will be released at 11:30 am. Bus transportation will be provided for those in district. Please check the bus schedule for pick up times and stops at http://www.infofinderi.com/ifi/?cid=FPS22ENQ11P9
Please have your child bring a pencil and a calculator for testing. NO calculators will be supplied. Students MUST wear mask the entire time they are in the building. No entry will be allowed without it. There are no make-ups for this test. Please have your child check blackboard for any asynchronous assignments that may have been posted from teachers on test day. Their attendance will be coded as F2F which means face to face.
Here is a link to the PSAT/NMSQT student guide that gives parents and students helpful information about the PSAT/NMSQT including a practice exam. https://collegereadiness.collegeboard.org/pdf/psat-nmsqt-student-guide.pdf
Official practice can also be done at Khan Academy at https://www.khanacademy.org/sat
Please also have your child consider signing up for Student Search Services at https://studentsearch.collegeboard.org to connect your child to colleges and scholarships that may be a good match for them.
If you have not signed up and would like your student to take the PSAT/NMSQT, please email Mrs. Kalpin at Stacy.Kalpin@FraserK12.org by Monday, October 26th. We will not accept any more submissions after Monday.
All students must complete this health screener prior to entering the building: https://form.jotform.com/202427445970154
F2F and Virtual Return to School Options
Clarifying Information for Secondary Families:
- Families have two choices to make by October 30th.
- November 30th - January 22nd (Virtual or Face-to-Face)
- January 25th - Second Semester (Virtual or Face-to-Face)
- Families will need to make their decision for either the Virtual or Face-to-Face option now for Second Semester. We will begin re-scheduling virtual students for Second Semester in December. Therefore, after December 1st, we can not honor requests to change options for the Second Semester. We need to be able to schedule students and assign staff to courses. This would have typically been completed already under normal circumstances.
- Families that select the Virtual Option may select classes that are only offered Face-to-Face. Students will need to attend those classes in-person. Transportation will not be provided. For example, band, choir, and certain CTE courses are only available in a Face-to-Face Model Second Semester.
- Enrollment in virtual and face-to-face options will drive our course offerings for second semester.
We encourage you to make a decision to select Face-to-Face or Virtual based upon what you feel is best for your child and family. We realize these are difficult choices, but we need to be able to support all families as best we can, and we know everyone has different needs.
Please call or email me any questions you may have about your families choice.
