Join the efforts of Day of Hope

There's new energy in our neighborhoods as the school year starts and teachers, parents and students begin the journey of another year of education. School is a place where communities come together for the purpose of learning. The Back to school season is a great opportunity for churches to come together to bring hope and help to families as they prepare their families to return to school.

That's what E49 Corp.'s next Day of Hope is all about! On August 29th 10 churches are collaborating on a back-to-school outreach event at American Legion High School benefiting the Oak Park Community. We are proud to see new churches, non-profits, school districts and businesses come on board to collectively bring hope and help to families, single moms, underprivileged, unemployed and homeless people in this community. Families that come to this event will receive free clothing and haircuts for their children, free lunch and live entertainment, a kidz zone full of bounce houses and games and will leave with prayer and a bag of groceries. Day of Hope is an event that can be replicated in other communities in our region. Come by and check it out! Stories of Service: First Day

On August 7th, AboutKidz threw a fun and festive back to school event for families in the San Juan Unified School District called First Day. Over 900 kids came to New Life Community Church with their parents and received a free backpack filled with school supplies, a new outfit for school including shoes, a brand new haircut and went home with hope, encouragement and a fresh start. Many community businesses, churches, entertainers and individuals came together to make this event great! AboutKidz believes in the power of adding value and importance to each child's success and future and the volunteers demonstrated this in the love they showed the kids and their families on this night. Watch the video below to see what First Day is all about!
