KJ DANCE

What is the difference in the KJ Concert and Rhythm and Rhyme Recital?

Many people often ask what the difference is between the RR recital and the KJ Concert. After 30 years of recitals and concerts, we have found that our tiniest of dancers are more successful in a more intimate setting to perform for their family and friends. In the past, we did have our preschool program part of our "big stage" concert, but found that many of them were overwhelmed, and didn't perform as we knew they could. The Rhythm and Rhyme Recital is an in-house show at KJ Dance Plano. This recital is an up close and precious 45 minute show featuring your star!

Arrival for the Recital

Please arrive no more than 15 minutes early for your dancer's recital. We will have the cleaning crew busy in between shows, so the doors will be locked until 15 minutes prior to show time. Each dance should arrive with costume on, hair in a bun, pink tights and tap shoes on...completely ready to walk on stage. There will not be a chance to get ready a the studio. Pink lipstick or gloss if desired, and minimal stage makeup...just enough to feel fancy!

Upon arrival, your family will be greeted at the door, and your dancer will be taken to a studio to get ready for their big entrance. Please have your tickets in hand, and ready at the entrance of the studio. If you did not pick up your tickets, please make a stop by the office prior to entering the recital.

Please sign up to bring a snack, treat, or drinks for your dancer's reception during your class time this week. Sign up sheets are hanging in the studio for your connivence. Someone will take the snacks from you before the show begins to set up in the reception area.
