New Classes for Next Year

Madrona students and families,

We are adding two new classes for next year. Deadline to sign up is Monday, June 13th.

Show Choir - The Madrona Music Family is proud to announce that we will be adding a Show Choir next year! Do you like to sing? Do you like to dance? Then, Show Choir is the class for you! Students will learn the basics of vocal music, dance and physical fitness. Come be a part of the Madrona Music Family and let's make great music together! This class will take the place of regular PE. You will still be able to take another elective class. If you are interested in learning more, please contact Sign up here by Wednesday, June 8th!

Zero Period PE - Same class, new time! First priority will be given to students in ELD, study skills and other intervention classes. Taking zero period PE will enable these students to also enroll in an elective class. Click here if you are interested in applying for zero period PE.

Middle School Start/End Times begins August 25

Next Fall for 2022-23 School Year TUSD Middle School Start/End Times will be:
  • 8:15am - Gates open
  • 8:40 am - Class Begins
  • 3:16 pm Dismissal Bell
  • Tuesday Late Start: still 9:25 am Tardy Bell with a 3:16 Dismissal Bell
  • More details will be sent to families this summer.

Health Office-Medication Pick Up!

  • Parents must pick up their child's medications from the health office at the times below:
    • Monday 6/13 - Wed 6/15 8:30am-2:30pm
    • Thursday 6/16 - Friday 6/17 8:30am-11am
    • Tuesday 6/21 8:30am-11am

  • All incoming 7th graders are required to have received the Tdap and/or 2nd Varicella vaccination(s) before beginning 7th grade. It is important to show proof of immunization as soon as possible so there will be no issue with school entry in the fall.

  • If your child requires medication in the fall USE THIS FORM required each year to be turned in to the Health Office each August.

  • Health Office will be closed beginning June 22. Email any questions to and someone will be in touch before school begins.

  • Thanks to Judy Briggs, Tracy Dominguez, and Monica Sandoval for all organizing a fantastic 8th grade dance for our students! Thanks to all the parents that volunteered to help out!
  • Mrs. Snider: Bands and Choir - Bravissimo! You put on an amazing show last week! Can't wait to see and hear how far you will soar in your shows next year!
  • Mrs. Brown: Preston Cornille- thank you for always being kind and including others and for being a good friend to other students on campus.
  • Ms. McGurk: Huge shout out to both the girls and boys volleyball teams for having an amazing season! Everyone put in a lot of hard work and improved so much. Congratulations, you all did so well!
  • Mrs. Young: To ALL my students for being wonderful learners and achievers! I wish you all the best in 7th grade, and don't forget to say hello to Mrs. Young next year!
  • Mr. Snow: KUDOS to all of the following who have been sensational in their role of "Anne" as we have been examining both the diary and the play of Anne Frank: Leila Torres, Lana Yamagami, Celine Chang, Madeline Schuler, Beth Ahn, Mia Overstreet, Samantha Yee, Cara Kim, Neha Manoj, and Kyra Seki!
  • Mr. H. sends a shout out to boys and girls volleyball teams. Congratulations on your thrilling victory! Bravo!

  • Attire Boys: Nice Slacks/Pants/Casual Suit (no Jeans) nice shirt, nice shoes

  • Dresses must be to the knee or lower
  • No strapless dresses/tops
  • Wedges/Flats only, NO spiked heels
