What is Uluru

Uluru is Australias best known landscape. Uluru is the biggest rock in the world made of sandstone. It stands 1141 feet high [348 metres] , 3.6 kilometres long and 1.9 kilometres wide.

What flora and fauna does it have?

Uluru has lots of animals and plants in and on its base. One of the types of plants is spinifex. Some of the animals that live on the base of Uluru are Thorny devils, Monitors ,Dingo, Snakes , Mice and Skinks. There many other animals, snakes and lizards as well. There are also Bats living in the caves of Uluru. There are birds like the Black Cockatoo, Wedge tailed Eagle and Grey honey eater also sharing the same environment.

THE REAL MEANING , PRONUCIATION AND WAY ULURU IS SAID IN ABORIGINAL AND THE ABORIGINAL NAME

Uluru's aboriginal name is actually Ayers rock.There is also no meaning of Uluru either.The way uluru is said in aboriginal is Ulu'ju.People say that the translation of Uluru in English is "Ayers rock",but others say the proper meaning is the Aboriginal meaning which is "Rainbow Dreaming".The sound "ul" in Uluru means shadow or shade.Uluru is a Yankunytjatara word coming from that tribe.
