Meet the Tribune Staff
PLATTSBURG TIMES
By: Bradley Dunivan
Our newsletter wouldn't exist without the people who make it, so I decided to write my feature on each of our staffers. Here's a little inside scoop on each member of the team.
Baylee Dennis is a Tiger Tribune writer who shows off her own style when writing interesting articles. She is a freshman and a very talented writer. Her favorite article was writing about her sister Rylee and her academic team accomplishments.
Parker Straight is a host of the ENews and was the video editor of some of your favorite videos. Parker is a sophomore and likes making videos that are both entertaining and instructional. Her favorite part about making ENews videos is hanging out with friends and making the videos funny.
Freshman, Dillon Battles, is also a host of the ENews where he is able to show off his creative side. He also writes articles for the Tiger Tribune. His favorite thing about working on the ENews is editing the videos with iMovie. He especially loves the new clips from hosts, Gene & Lee!
Ryan Lord is a freshman Tiger Tribune writer that likes to write about fun things happening around CCR3. He likes to have fun and yes, he's the guy that does the flips. He loves sharing the story about how to do backflips.
I am Bradley Dunivan, a freshman, and the Tiger Tribune editor. I like to write my opinion articles. I like to add my own style to the articles I write. My favorite article was a survey about the Superbowl.
Andrew Wilson, sophomore, is a host of the funny video broadcast Gene and Lee. He started out writing sports articles for the Tribune, but because he loves to be active and take risks, he moved to an 'on air' position. What does he love about it? He loves Gene and Lee videos...mainly spending a lot of time with Lee.
Tanner Sims, senior, is the Lee of the Gene and Lee show. He one of the funny faces that you see. He loves to make videos for our viewers and he even went shirtless in the Home Alone Christmas episode. He loves his job because he gets to do it with his best buddy, Gene.

Bridget lives in Plattsburg with her husband Ron and two children, Helena and Finn. They are expecting their third child early this summer.
Bridget is a graduate of Plattsburg High School. Welcome Mrs. Welch!
Turn Up the Country Music!
By: Jessie Riddle
My favorite song on Billboard Music Charts is Hometown Girl by Josh Turner. I think this song describes some of the girls in our little town of Plattsburg. Even though Hometown Girl is an amazing song, we don’t really get to learn much about the girl. All we really know is that she is pretty and has good hair. Josh Turner makes it clear that she prefers the country rather than the city. The song is pretty catchy and I’m sure that there are a lot of girls out there who can relate to this song. Hometown Girl gives you a vibe that holds your attention and also has a great chorus that makes you sing right along with Josh Turner.
Hometown Girl landed #1 on MediaBase Country Airplay. After just 16 weeks of streaming, there were 200,000 downloads with many more downloads happening daily. This song is Josh Turner’s fifth #1 song. His first #1 was all the way back in the 2010 with All Over Me. Hometown Girl is the second single from Turner’s most recent album Deep South. Josh Turner hadn't released a new record since his album, Punching Bag, in 2012.
As for the success of Hometown Girl, Turner stated that he loves what the song says and it is somewhat of an anthem for his female fans out there. This song is amazing and is surely loved by many people. If you haven't heard it yet, listen to it...it is highly recommended!

We asked our Student Resource Officer, Nick Little how he thought the simulation went. "I think it went very well. I think a lot of students were happy with how it went. I liked how it looked. A lot of teachers said it was the best mock experience they have ever seen."
Students, teachers, and volunteers all agreed this was a very valuable learning experience.
