CAMERA ANGLES
Extreme Wide Shot (EWS)
- Establishes the setting
- Subject not visible
Very Wide Shot (VWS)
- Subject is somewhat in view
Wide Shot (WS)
- Subject takes up screen
- Head almost at the top of the screen
Mid Shot (MS)
- Shows the subject closer
- You can see details on the subject
Medium Close Up (MCU)
- Shows face more clearly but no to close
Close Up (CU)
- Shows their emotion
- Face takes up whole screen
Extreme Close Up (ECU)
- Shows eyes
- To close to show detail
Over the Shoulder Shot (OSS)
- Showing a talking scene
Point of View (POW)
- Shows perspective
Angles
Eye - Level
- Neutral Angle
- Angle that we're used to
High Level
- Shows subject from above
- Makes them less powerful
Low Level
- Shows the subject from below
- Makes them look powerful
Bird's Eye
- Shows from above
- Can be used as opening shot
Slanted
- Creates interesting and intriguing shot
