Celebration of Healthy Habits!

The little Pirates are learning healthy habits! They are continuously expected and inspired to be active through our physical education curriculum, opportunities to be active time during breaks, ACE, and sports programs outside of NP3. Students also have the opportunity to learn about healthy food choices with the Garden Club! They are not only learning and enjoying the fruits of their labor - they are encouraging others to join them! There's nothing better than a table of food to bring everyone together...wait. There is. There's nothing better than student farm-to-fork veggie goodness to bring everyone together.

A big celebration to everyone who continues to encourage healthy habits at NP3! Students learn about healthy choices by deliberate and purposeful education and opportunity to practice making those choices. The benefits of a healthy life are obvious; in addition, the California Department of Education states, "research has established that good nutrition combined with nutrition education, and regular physical activity, contributes to positive health outcomes such as preventing obesity and reducing chronic health conditions such as diabetes, coronary heart disease, and hypertension. Nutrition has also been linked to improved educational outcomes such as attentiveness, attendance, concentration, and academic performance."
