This Week in Kindergarten

September is a busy month in Kindergarten. This week we talked about community helpers and what they do for us. In math we compared numbers to ten using the math words greater, more, less, and fewer. While reading we have been working on our Reading Stamina. Ask your child how many minutes we have on our chart. Continue to work on letters, letter sounds, and sight words at home. We have some stars on our sight word chart!

Moving on to next week, we will learn about where we live. This is a big task! We will learn our planet, continent, country, state, county, city, school, and address. Please help us at home by helping your child learn his/her address. They can also practice the names and value of coins. Ask them to sing our coin chant for you!

It's Apple Time!

Please have your child bring an apple to school Monday, September 21. We want to have a variety of apple colors and types to graph and make into applesauce. It is going to be a blast!

Fall Conferences

If you have not signed up for a fall conference time. You can refer to letter that went home with instructions to sign up online, or visit the Mountain Park Elementary website.

Our Newsletter is Going Digital!
