11 Great Britain Ships Sail For Australia

May 13, 1787 The first fleet of 11 Great Britain ship set sail for colonization in Australia. This led to the brutal times that the aboriginal people of Australia went through. This sail of ships was led by Governor Arthur Phillips, who is pictured above.


Women Get The Right To Vote

In 1893 New Zealand was the first country to allow women of any race or religion to vote. There was no limitations to what type of women could vote. New Zealand was the first country to allow this and therefore started a revolution where women gain the right to vote.


Flight Time

There are two ways you can arrive in Australia or New Zealand from New Hampshire. You can fly there which would take about approximately 22 hours non-stop. The other way would to drive to the coast, then take a ship across the oceans to get there. This would take much longer, and due to many unseen obstacles time can't really be determined accurately.


Sausage Rolls

Sausage Rolls are sausages that are fried inside bread.


Cheese and Wine

Cheese and Wine is a popular treat for people in New Zealand.

8 degrees Celsius = 46 degrees Fahrenheit


27 degrees Celcius = 81 degrees Fahrenheit

Weather

The weather is opposite in Australia with Summer in February and Winter in July. The northern states are typically warmer and the southern states are typically colder. The whole country for the most part around 60 cm of rainfall or less in other areas every year.
