Agriculture Update
We get our food by farming and hunting. Some of our crops we grew were barley, wheat, emmer, onion, cucumber, figs, and apples. There were droughts and that made the soil dry and the climate was hot so canals, dams, and dikes did not hold water. The rivers were unpredictable so we had to develop irrigation in order to survive. We dug canals, dams, and dikes to move water to our crops.
Personal Interview Article
I interviewed Billy Sanchez. He is a farmer and his family taught him how to farm when he turned 15. The crops that they grew were barley, wheat, emmer, onion, cucumber, figs, and apples. They lived in Mesopotamia. He still farms on his family's old farm. He learned how to build dams to store water in droughts. He is also learned how to dig ditches. When he grew up he wanted to learn how to become a scribe and learn how to read and write.
