Message

Educating Our Children...

Dear MS Family,

Spring? Spring? What Spring? Just when I thought I could put the winter jacket away - I had to pull it out again. Not only did I have to take it out again - I took out the long winter jacket :-) Let's hope we'll be on the upswing real soon.

Toward the end of last week, I attended the ASCD conference in Atlanta, Georgia. No need to get jealous - it wasn't warm at all. I went with tank tops expecting to bask in the sun and was met with cooler weather that required a sweatshirt. I'm so glad that the facility was close - so my little toes didn't freeze too much in my open toe shoes :-0. I'll be sharing more stories with you of my adventures over the course of the next few weeks. For now - let me tell you about a dynamic speaker who was the inspiration for the film Freedom Writers...

The speaker, Manny Scott, had a message that still resonates with me. He shared that one person helped him to write a new chapter in his life. He encourages others to use their power to help students achieve their dreams. Let's help EVERY CHILD write a new chapter WRITE NOW...
