Icelandic text - http://fotbolti.net/news/12-11-2014/storu-strakarnir-vilja-spila-vid-okkur#ixzz3K7DSIv1R
English translation
As repeatedly has been said, the interest of the Icelandic national football team has never been greater. Foreign journalists have migrinated Iceland and everyone wants to get the magic answer to the success of the national team, of our small country.
For an example Jonathan Fisher, journalist of the Guardian, has been in Iceland for the last week to study icelandic football and has had assistence from fotbolti.net.
People can not get enough of news and discussion on the squad, when things are going this well, but the team has a full house and a clean cage after three games in the qualifier EM as everyone knows.
Almost 700 Icelanders will be in Plzen on sunday when they will play against the Czech Republic and attendance has never been this good on any away game from Iceland. This will also set a record on how many sport journalist will travel to a away game to review the game.
RUV will broadcast it live on tv, 365 will have several people broadcasting it live on air, fotbolti.net will send four employees, as well there will be representers from Mbl. and 433.is. A total of 20 people.
Better performance has naturally resulted an increased interest and demand. Tonight there will be a friendly game against Belgium, whice is the fourth best national team in the world according to FIFA's top list. Few years ago it was very difficult to get a high rankt teams to play agains the icelandic team.
Things chance quickly and the game surely is a sign of changing times. The big boys are ready to play with us.
"It is obvious that this success has been the result in stronger nations prefer to play with us. That’s the way it is. Friendly matches have been played regularly, but not against as strong nations like we are up against now, "said Þórir Hákonarson, Director of KSÍ.
The game against Belgium will start at 19:45 tonight. Nevertheless Heimir Hallgrímsson and Lars Lagerback stick with it to inform the team to the people until less than two hours before the game, but it has not been any hiding game about that, that the players who had played less will get a chance to prove themselfs.
For that the result of the game will be curious. Icelandic football enthusiasts do not decrease they’re intrest when eight Belgian players are regularly watched at peoples homes when english football is watched. English football is after all often referred as the national sport of Iceland.
c) one paragraph on why you chose the text and what methods you used
There are a couple of reasons why I chose this text. First of all I think it’s great for the Icelandic football team to achive playing against “big teams” who we are not used to play against. Secondly football is often referred to be the national sport of Iceland, so I have a great interest on how my team is doing playing against such strong teams. I used my own knowledge, a little help from my sister and snara.is to help me translating this article, I had no trouble with the translation. Last of all I chose this text because I want to improve my knowledge on Icelandic football.

English text - http://www.importantindia.com/2472/importance-of-games-and-sports/
There goes a good proverb—”All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy“.
Games and sports are not only important for success in studio but it is important for success in every walks of our life. Games and sports include all outdoor and indoor games and also athletics. In ancient Greece they formed the principal part of education. In the advanced countries of the present day also they are a regular feature of the school and college curriculum.
Games and sports may be of various kinds. Apart from school or college sports, boys and girls may practice races, jumps, discuss throw and javelin throw and thus pass their afternoon in useful activities. They may play various games like football, cricket, hockey, volleyball, basket ball, badminton etc. School and College Games and sports are annual affairs. Sports are generally held in winter months. Students take part in various games like high and long jumps, pole vault, go-as-you like and different kind of races. These annual sports foster competitive spirit and sportsmanship. Sometimes inter class tournaments are held in relation with football, hockey, cricket, tennis, cycling, volleyball, badminton etc. These games foster team spirit among the participants and make them disciplined.
The importance of games and sports can never be minimized.
• First of all, they are good exercises and help to build fine, physique for the boys and girls. They make them mentally alert and physically strong.
• Secondly, students learn to cope with difficult situations. By displaying their feats before many spectators, they can overcome their nervousness.
• Thirdly, games and sports are good diversions and give them energy to learn their lessons well. For these reasons, every civilized nation values the importance of games and sports and spends large sum of money on improving the standard of games and sports among its players and athletes. The standard of games and sports in India is far from satisfactory. So, the Government should take steps to improve this standard.
Icelandic translation
c) one paragraph on why you chose the text and the methods you used.
The first reason why I chose this text is that I would like to show how important games and sports are for people. Especially to start thinking about health at young age because it’s often very hard for people to take charge when things have gone wrong.
Secondly we want to have a good and healthy community around us, so it can grow and people feel good in that invironment.
The method I used was my wordlist, help from my sister and niece, google translate, snara and my own vocabulary.
Interviewing Böðvar Dór Brynjarsson
3. An interview with a person connected to the subject field – explained in English – the interview can be conducted in Icelandic, but your final product will be in English. On the webpage you should provide:
a) A paragraph about why you chose this person- profile
There are some reasons why i chose Böðvar Dór Brynjarsson. I have known him for sometime and he play's with a team from Selfoss and he want's to become a coach. Böðvar is a very skilled football player and knows what he's doing on the field. His techniques are unbelievable and Böðvar can almost run as fast as Usain Bolt. Böðvar wants to coach F.C. Sveppis when he gets a bit older and maby try out for a pro team in a foreign country.
b) Your questions in English
1) With what football team do you play?
2) What position do you play on the field and why?
3) What do you think is the most exciting part of a footballgame?
4) Do you see yourself becomming a coach in the next couple of years?
5) Do you hope to become better at some specific parts, playing football?
6) Overall, do you enjoy playing this particular sport?
7) Where did you learn to play football?
8) In some major games, how do you handle the pressure?
9) How do you feel, when you hear the cheers of supporters?
10) How do you manage to study aswell as play football?
c) A summary of interview – profile
Interviewing Böðvar Dór Brynjarsson was very interesting, i learn a couple of new things from him i didnt know myself. Böðvar was playing with a reserved team in Selfoss but now he is currently playing in a semi pro team called F.C. Sveppis which is also in Selfoss city. Böðvar said that he played numerous positions but he prefers to play as a right winger but he can play as an attacking midfielder and a second striker, because his strenght is the technical side of the game. He's good in a system where the tactics are to press the opposition high up the pitch.Böðvar love's to go on the field and try to win and do his best each game. He is currently trying to become a coach but when he is playing football he is focused on gaining strenght since that was his only weakness said his past manager.
Böðvar's early years were focused on playing football in Selfoss, but he also did go to football school in England called The Bobby Charlton Soccer School Academy and learned alot there. I asked Böðvar how he was able to handle the pressure during some major games, he said that when he was playing in the third class B team he was the captain of the team and was glad to take that responsibility and he has always been quite able to deal with pressure during games. Hearing his supporters cheer helps him alot when he's playing. Last but not least, Böðvar is studying at FSU aswell as playing football, and he says its no problem if you orginize yourself, do what you want to do.

Three summaries
4. Three summaries from Ted.com.
A) The video you chose
http://www.ted.com/talks/ernest_madu_on_world_class_health_care
Ernest Madu – World-class health care
http://www.ted.com/talks/emily_balcetis_why_some_people_find_exercise_harder_than_others
Emily Balcetis – Why some people find exercise harder than others
http://www.ted.com/talks/sandra_aamodt_why_dieting_doesn_t_usually_work
Sandra Aamodt – Why dieting doesnt usually work
B & C) Summarize the main idea, explain why you chose this particular video
Ernest Madu, world-class health care – In this video we are informed on how bad health care we have. Every single year, 17 million people die from heart attacks. 32 million heart attacks and strokes happen yearly, and the majority is in Africa. Sick people in Africa dont get the right treatment they deserve. Ernest Madu wants to increase the health care in Africa by getting more trained staff, better equipment and informing young people about health care. There are expensive ways and cheap ways to try to improve the health care in the poor country's. With careful design, smart technical choices, and a true desire to serve, its possible to give the developing world better healthcare.
I chose this video because health care is a very important subject in the world. Talking about it and informing other people can affect how we deal with it. With good health care people can start fixing other world problems.
Emily Balcetis, why some people find exercise harder then others - This video Emily Balcetis tells us that when some people try out for fitness, they literally see the world differently. Emily shows research that adresses one of the many factors: Vision.
Emily did a research with her team and tested peoples motivation when reaching their goals, and found out a strategy they call “Keep your eyes on the prize.” People who keep their eyes on the finishing line while running, see the goal 30% closer then they naturally would. Then Emily did another research while people added weight to them selves and ran. The research showed that 17% of the people who kept their eye on the prize felt happier then they normally would. Also people who kept their eye on the prize felt happier and ran 23% faster then people who kept looking at the enviroment. In the long run, everyone see's the world differently.
This video I chose because I like to exercise and sometimes I wonder why not all people exercise and eat healthy. If i knew there were any good strategy's for exercising i would have used them. Since this newly research shows us that “Keep your eyes on the prize” strategy works, people should try it out, and I know that I will.
Sandra Aamodt, why dieting doesnt usually work - Sandra Aamodt is telling us in this video that your brain also controls how much you weigh. Your brain tells your body how much to weigh. If you go on a diet you are more likely to gain weight then to loose some in the long run. Diets are not the answer to getting thin, it might aswell lead to a eating disorder. Eating healthy and exercising regularly will extend your lifetime and make you happy.
I chose this video because there are alot of obise people in the world who try to diet or try to loose weight but dont seem to get lighter. There is more then one way to loose weight, its not only to eat healthy but exercise and a positive mind will also help you. The world seems to continue to get even though more and more people are getting educated on this field of subject.
