Mrs. Embretson, December 4
Week at a glance...
Writing: Our focus this week was to plan how we use the space on a page when drawing and writing. Though many students know to start on the left side when writing, they don't go all the way across the page before going down to the next line. This leaves large gaps on each row and wastes space. Some students need to work on writing smaller and neater.
Math: We continued to learn about partners for numbers 2-6. We used our fingers or objects to act out number stories. On Thursday we completed our first adding and subtracting page together. You can help at home by checking to see if your child can name the +, -, and = signs and tell you what they mean.
Social Studies/Science/Health: We are learning about evergreen trees and why they are important to us.
