Travel quarantine reminder as we head into the long weekend
Students who travel to a state on the travel advisory list:
Must quarantine at home for 14 days after leaving the state on the list.
Should notify the DOH upon their return by completing the Travel Health Form on the NYSDOH site.
In order to return to school, parents must report to the school that the student and family have remained asymptomatic during quarantine.
No release of quarantine letters will be issued by the DOH in the case of quarantine due to travel.
Parents may receive a text from the DOH. If they do, they should provide the school nurse with a screenshot of that text. This is not mandatory at this time because we have found this practice to be inconsistent with the DOH.
If the parent voices that someone in the family became symptomatic, then the parent should report it to their HCP and have testing completed on the symptomatic individual. The school will need to collaborate with the HCP and DOH about return to school, based on the results.
Students in quarantine:
Should ask teachers for class work just like when they are sick. They may NOT join 100% remote learning students.
Must wait out their 14 day quarantine. They may NOT have a neg covid-19 testing result in lieu of a 14 day quarantine to return to school.

Exception Wednesday Next Week
A reminder for everyone that tomorrow is another Exception Wednesday. We will not be following the Mini Wednesday schedule tomorrow. Instead, it will be a B1 day and the 100% remote students are to follow the odd classes, 1,3,5,7.
