Have A Great Summer!
*8th Grade HS Instrument Pick Up*
Coming up this Tuesday, May 23 starting at 4:45pm, 8th grade students joining the M100 who need a school-owned instrument should report to the HS Band Hall to check one out, and parents should provide transportation to take the instrument home for the summer. Contact Mr. Kwaku at kevin.kwaku@bisd.net if you have any questions, or cannot attend during this time.
8th Grade Individual Pictures
As is tradition in the BMS Band, 8th grade parents were emailed a link containing all of the photos collected from their student's years in the Belton MS Band. If you are an 8th grade parent, check your Email Inbox for the link that will expire on June 30. You can download or share these photos until this date. If you did not receive this link, please email Mr. Pulley so it can be sent to you.
Next Year's Band Registration - Monday, July 31
It's already time to start talking about next school year! Our Band Registration will take place in the BMS Band Hall on Monday, July 31 from 9:00am-6:00pm (come-and-go). You'll be able to sign up for emails, Remind texts, update contact information, drop off student instruments and supplies, as well as see the directors and your band friends! Returning Members Packets have all been emailed and given to students that contain updated supplies lists and other necessary information.
Band Registration
Band students and parents should attend (come-and-go) in order to "Be Prepared" for the school year. Bring your instrument and all band materials/supplies to have it checked over by a director to make sure you have everything correct and ready to go for school. Plan on about 30 minutes per student to visit all of the stations.
Instrument and uniform fees can be paid at this time, as well as filling out ALL of the required paperwork. It is much easier to take care of this before school starts rather than waiting and having to pass forms back and forth from school to home and back. On-site help will be available, and please email Mr. Pulley if you cannot attend. See you then!

Band Supplies & Materials
All supplies and materials are due on the second day of school, which is Thursday, August 17 this year. If you need more information, be sure to check out the Supplies & Materials page of our website. Below are the 3 local music stores that have the supplies you need for Band at BMS. Beginner Band Success at Temple College
On Tuesday, 75 members of the Beginner’s Ensemble competed at the Temple College Band Invitational for three very experienced judges. Their comments include: “You are off to a good start”, “Good characteristic sounds, rhythms played well”, “You play well together and listen to each other very well!”, “Very disciplined!”, and “Well-chosen program with challenges in dynamic contrast and style and rhythm.”
The group earned straight first division superior ratings at the contest, and we are proud of their accomplishments! Feel free to listen to the audio recording of their performance here, and click here to see photos from the performance. Thank you Ms. Maynor and Ms. Nickerson for the pictures, and Mr. Ureste and Ms. Maynor for chaperoning!
