Happy New Year from IVEF
Dear SASD Families & Friends,
As we begin 2024, we want to express our deepest gratitude for your support throughout the past year. We are honored to serve a community so committed to supporting traditional public education in the Souderton Area School District.
In 2023, your generosity has enabled us to provide funding to enhance the learning experience for all students in our district. From updated classroom resources to extracurricular opportunities that foster creativity and innovation, your contributions have made a lasting impact on the lives of our students. Please take a few minutes to read further and see how your dollars are at work in our schools. Consider how you might support the mission of the IVEF in 2024.
As we venture into 2024, let us continue this journey together, fostering a community that prioritizes the education and well-being of our future leaders. Your support has been instrumental in shaping brighter tomorrows for our students, and we are excited about the new year's possibilities.
We wish you a New Year filled with joy, prosperity, and the satisfaction of knowing that your support shapes a brighter future for our community.
On behalf of the IVEF Board of Directors,

2023 Shakespeare Day
This grant was submitted by Dr. Stacey Aronow from Souderton Area High School. Students from DeSales University including 2016 SAHS Alumna Mackenzie Moyer, put on a production of their version of Romeo and Juliet at Souderton Area High School on Friday, October 13, 2023.
Outdoor Classroom Fence Project
Arrowhead Technology Grant
Last year, a student was able to use their personal iPad to enhance some of the visuals included in the Arrowhead through the use of PhotoShop. This grant is for a similar Dell laptop for students to be able to continue to use PhotoShop in their production of the Arrowhead, the SAHS newspaper.
Community Connections Corner:
Stay In the Loop and Discover the latest happenings, stories, and collaborations that strengthen our community bonds.
The Genius Bar: Connecting the SAHS Interact Club with residents at Peter Becker ~ Students continue to visit Peter Becker weekly or biweekly to help them with their technology (see pictures below). We will continue to find ways to connect with these residents and those in other retirement communities as we move forward in the New Year.
Winter Coats: Keeping students warm this winter ~ We received an email from an elementary principal seeking any community resources that may be able to provide coats for students in need. After only two asks and two resounding "YES's!" we partnered with A & T Subaru and Indian Valley Country Club, who generously donated well over 100 brand new and gently used coats. Additionally, hats, gloves, and socks were collected for students K-12!
Souderton Borough Mayor, and SAHS Alumni, Dan Yocum hosted an Annual Holiday gathering for borough staff and leadership asking that each guest bring a donation of hats and gloves for students at EMC Elementary School. A picture of the delivery is below!
Support Stars:
Shining a Light on Students Supporting the Cause! Learn about the outstanding efforts and contributions from our students as they play a pivotal role in driving our organization's success.
SAHS students from Ms. Ozeni's Life Skills class have been instrumental in assisting IVEF with several mailings this year. In the Fall, students prepared and packaged the brochures and parent letters for our Boon Supply Fundraiser and this winter they will be working on stuffing, labeling and mailing our annual New Year's cards.
These projects provide students with the opportunity to navigate multiple steps and to develop real life skills that could be used in the work place.
