We wanted to inform you that there will be a delay in starting the Middle School Fall Intramural Sport Activities for two important reasons.
First, we currently do not have enough adult supervision available to ensure the safety of our students during these activities. We have been, and will continue, to recruit supervisors for our Intramural Sports Activities.
Second, we have been advised by our Insurance company, Risk Management, that students will need to have a sports physical in order to participate in these activities. To accommodate this requirement and ensure the safety of our students, we have decided to postpone the start of our sports activities until later this fall. This delay will provide interested students with the necessary time to obtain their physicals and allow us time to have the appropriate adult supervision in place.
In addition, we are collaborating with physicians to provide sports physicals in our schools to help remove any barriers students may face. We will keep families informed as details become available. Sports physicals are valid for two years and can be obtained by providing the documents to your primary care physician if your child has had a well-child check up in the last year.

Actualización de las actividades deportivas intramuros de otoño y cambio de fecha de inicio
Estimados padres,
Queríamos informarles que habrá un retraso en el inicio de las actividades deportivas intramuros del otoño de la escuela secundaria (middle school) por dos razones importantes.
Primero, actualmente no tenemos suficiente supervisión adulta disponible para garantizar la seguridad de nuestros estudiantes durante estas actividades. Hemos estado, y continuaremos, reclutando supervisores para nuestras actividades deportivas intramuros.
En segundo lugar, nuestra compañía de seguros, Risk Management, nos ha informado que los estudiantes deberán tener un examen físico deportivo para poder participar en estas actividades. Para cumplir con este requisito y garantizar la seguridad de nuestros estudiantes, hemos decidido posponer el inicio de nuestras actividades deportivas hasta finales de este otoño. Este retraso brindará a los estudiantes interesados el tiempo necesario para obtener sus exámenes físicos y nos permitirá de tener la supervisión adulta adecuada.
Además, estamos colaborando con los médicos para brindar exámenes físicos deportivos en nuestras escuelas para ayudar a eliminar cualquier barrera que los estudiantes puedan enfrentar. Nos mantendremos informados con las familias a medida que los detalles estén disponibles.
