HOLIDAY EVENTS TO PUT ON YOUR CALENDAR
Thursday, Nov. 21st - Lighting of the Courthouse on the Square at 6:30pm. Lots of activities take place all around the Square during this annual event.
Monday, Dec. 2nd - Community Band Holiday Concert - A free Christmas concert from the community band under the direction of Mr. T. K. Adams at Eastside High. Concert starts at 7:30pm and admission is free! This is a wonderful way to start off the holiday season.
Friday, Dec. 6th & Saturday, Dec. 7th - Christmas In Covington Concert presented by the Oxford Singing Children and Oxford Youth Singers at the First United Methodist Church of Covington. Friday night at 7:00pm, Saturday at 4:00pm and 7:00pm. These concerts are very popular every year and you'll want to plan early to attend.
Saturday, Dec. 7th - Covington Lions Christmas Parade - A wonderful community parade around the Square starting at 10:30am. You'll want to get there early to stake out your spot along the parade route!
Saturday, Dec. 7th - Candlelight Christmas Tour - Bi-annual holiday tour of homes sponsored by the Satsuki Garden Club of Covington. 1:00-7:00pm. Tickets and information from email@example.com.
Sunday, Dec. 22nd - Annual CP Holiday Lights & Golf Cart Parade - This will be our 4th annual parade through the neighborhood starting from the pool parking lot at 6:00pm. More details will be coming on this one from the Social Committee. It's always a fun time!
Covington Place Golf Cart Entry in Covington Lions Christmas Parade
Rita Johnson has graciously volunteered to chair this event for us - THANK YOU! The theme of this year's parade is "Christmas Through the Eyes of a Child." The parade takes place on Saturday, December 7th. Judging takes place at 9:00am. Official line-up is at 10:00am. The parade starts at 10:30am. We have 1 entry guaranteed in the parade and may be able to get 2 pending approval. 1 entry = 6 golf carts. Those who have asked to participate so far are: Mannin Tucker, Phil & Rita Johnson, Keith & Terri Campbell, Craig & Debbie Marquardt, Lori Seabolt (2 carts), and Ross Potts. We are taking a waiting list for the 2nd set of 6 golf carts. If you want to be placed on this Wait List, please REPLY to this eNews with your name. It will be first come, first served. More details will come out closer to the date and when we find out if we are allowed 2 entries.
