Schedule Review Week
On Monday, November 9th through Friday November 13th students will be able to log into Campus to view their tentative schedules for T2 and T3. If they would like to make elective or level changes there will be an online google form they can complete. The Change Form and the Master Schedule will be on the EHS website. This is students’ LAST opportunity to make elective course changes to their second and third trimester schedule. Schedule change requests are due Friday, November 13th at 3:00pm. Please note that requests for specific teachers or hours of the day cannot be honored.
Seniors Considering a Schedule Change
All seniors considering changing their schedule (especially if the change involves dropping a core academic class) are encouraged to contact any colleges they have applied to or are considering. Making a schedule change could impact chances of admission or admission status.
Signs of Depression and How Parents Can Help
As we head towards winter, still dealing with the pandemic, it’s more important than ever to keep an eye out for signs of depression, especially in teenagers. With so many things important to teenagers disrupted — school, seeing friends, sports, and other activities that shape identity — many kids are struggling, even those without a history of depression or anxiety.
This week we’ve rounded up childmind.org resources to help parents recognize the signs of depression in teenagers and get them effective treatment. Our experts also offer tips on how to support the healthy coping skills kids need — like avoiding negative and self-critical thinking patterns — to stay resilient and optimistic in this tough time.
