Boost Your Mental Health for Spring
Spring is here! Now is a great time to use the weather to our advantage and boost our mental health. Spring can be a time of increased energy and motivation and there's a sense of starting fresh and spring cleaning. Let's take the momentum and focus on these areas:
1. Reprioritize sleep: it's tempting to stay up later but truly nourishing yourself comes with healthy amounts of sleep. Recommit to a reasonable bedtime and put the phone away.
2. Change up the physical space: even rearranging furniture, trying a new hairstyle, or trying something new can improve cognitive flexibility.
3. Reconnect socially: now is the time become social and seek out social outings.
4. Consider growing a plant: outdoor gardening allows for access to sunlight and exercise while watching something grow.
5. Make a new creative goal: focus on something different that is not academic focused.
Get out and enjoy the season (as long as the allergies are under control)!
