  • Medications must be in the original container or prescription bottle

Free COVID At-Home Tests

To help reduce the spread of COVID-19, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) is making available to our families and staff at-home test kits through the MI Backpack Program. MDHHS has provided our district with 1,000 free test kits to pass out to our families.

We cannot send kits home with students, but parents can pick them up in our office between the hours of 8:00 – 3:30.

Cultivating Wellness from the GISD

Missing School?

Please be sure to communicate with the office if your student is not going to be in attendance. While it's good to let your teacher know why your child won't be in school the office also needs to know so they can accurately mark their attendance. A doctor's note will excuse a child medically and a parent phone call will be marked as a parent excuse. Attendance letters will be sent home once a student has reached 5 absences. The attendance line is 810-591-5252

Text Opt-In

If you would like to opt in to receive text messages from Goodrich Area Schools for school closings and other general information just send a text to 67587 and reply "Y' or "Yes"
