Technology Highlights

Every month we will offer some technological tools that you can use in your classroom. For the month of October, we will focus on ActivInspire and QR codes. If you are interested, please let Mrs. Peek know and we will set up a training session and collaborate to create instruction that engages our students and is tech friendly.

These codes are designed for quick, easy access to a site or location. Utilize these codes in your classroom as a station for those needing review or acceleration.

Hispanic Heritage Month

Let's celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month!!! It is celebrated September 15th to October 15th Please stop by the media center to see our display and read a book about Hispanic culture.

Meet your Media Staff

Ms. Patrice Peek

I was born and raised in Brunswick, GA to both an elementary educator and a PE/Basketball Coach. Both parents are now retired and I followed in their footsteps. I graduated from the University of Georgia and Georgia College and State University with degrees in Middle Grades Mathematics and Language Arts. I am also certified in the areas of gifted and media specialist K-12. I taught language arts for one year and math for nine. I am very excited to make the transition to media specialist. I have two small children, Samia age 3 and Aiden age 1 1/2. My husband, James Peek, is the principal of Veterans Memorial Middle School.

Ms. Jennifer Berry

I was born and raised in Lawrenceville, GA. I have three great kids, Brad (23), Braeden, (20), Tori (17). I worked for seven years as a special education paraprofessional in Walton County. I am in my third year of working at Cousins Middle as a media center paraprofessional.
