The latest information from South Hill Elementary Library
April focus: Spring!
In library this month we have enjoyed talking about all the changes spring brings each year. We have enjoyed watching the Pennsylvania Game Commission's Bald Eagle nest as students enter the library.
Research
Grade 1 will focus on farm to table this month. I am currently reading "Two Old Potatoes and Me" by John Coy
We are all amazed that you can grow new potatoes from old ones by planting the sprouted eyes. I wouldn't be surprised to have your student asking you for old potatoes this month!
Grade 3 is starting to read realistic fiction. If you would like to support this by reading at home with your child here are some great titles to get you started.
Don't forget you and your students can search the library catalog from home from our website
