The Flamenco
Spain
The flamenco is a folk-style dance originating in Spain. The Flamenco comes from the Andalusia region of Spain. It was first mentioned in 1774 in literature. There are four kinds of settings in which it can be performed in. The Juerga is more of an informal gathering, the tablaos are places where place has its own set of individual performers. The last to are professional concerts and theatrical performances which are exactly what they sound like. Both are much more formal and they are both typically taken more seriously. Recently it has become more popular across the globe as more countries are starting to offer schools that teach it. Today it is still one of the more popular Spanish originating dances and continues to become more popular.
The Flamenco can actually be traced back to the Roman Empire in many different classic writings.
The Flamenco is a style of dance created by a mixture of cultures such as Arabic, Islamic, and Andalusian.
There are more Flamenco dance academies in Japan than Spain.
