Throughout her life and fame, she has done great things such as being an activist for children's rights and proposing a law to Congress about child abuse. She founded the foundation, Family for Better Lives, and she has raised 51 million dollars for other charities. She also has co-founded a company in 1999 called Oxygen Media which makes cable and web programming for women. Oprah was given the Presidential Medal of Freedom by President Obama for her great help to the country.
