Get ready for an adventure like never before! Our 12-week Esports and Gaming Club for second-graders is here to spark collaboration, teamwork, and sportsmanship. We believe in the power of purposeful gaming to teach valuable life skills while having a blast!

Join us as we embark on thrilling gaming adventures that emphasize teamwork, effective communication, and the utmost respect for fellow players. From strategizing in Minecraft Education to coordinating epic moves in Mario Kart and Super Smash Brothers on Nintendo Switch, students will not only learn the importance of collaboration but also the value of treating their gaming peers with courtesy and consideration.
Healthy Gaming, Mindfulness, and Cyber Wellness!
Our club goes beyond the screen to promote healthy gaming habits and cyber wellness. Students will gain insights into responsible gaming practices, digital citizenship, and the importance of balancing screen time with other activities. Every session will include time to connect with club members and participate in some physical exercise.
Educational Gaming!
Dive into the educational wonders of Minecraft Education, where collaboration knows no bounds. Build, explore, and learn in a virtual environment that sparks curiosity and critical thinking skills, all while fostering an environment of mutual respect.
Nintendo Switch Fun!
Race to victory in Mario Kart and engage in epic battles in Super Smash Brothers on the Nintendo Switch. These iconic titles are not just games; they're platforms for developing quick thinking, decision-making, and good sportsmanship, all while respecting the fellow players in the virtual arena.
Enroll now and unlock a world of fun, learning, and friendship through the Wildcat Esports and Gaming Club. It's not just gaming; it's a journey of growth, discovery, and respect!
Program Details
Club Coaches: Simon Vasey and Rachel Chiesa.
Club Capacity: 24 spots for second-grade students only.
Duration: Every Thursday for 12 weeks of exciting adventures, team building, and cooperative competition. The first class is Thursday, January 11.
Platforms: iPad (Minecraft Education), Nintendo Switch (Mario Kart, Super Smash Brothers).
Focus: Teamwork, Good Sportsmanship, Communication, Respect, Healthy Gaming, Cyber Wellness.
Club Fee: $50.00.
Material Fee: $15.00 will cover the cost of a club t-shirt and prizes.
Participation: To ensure everyone has an equal chance of participating in this club, 24 students will be randomly drawn from all those who show an interest in joining.
Fee payment is due after drawing.
The Google Club Sign up form will remain open until end of day on Thursday, Dec. 7.
Families will be notified and payment expected Dec. 11-15.
