Flu season is here! Please help us reduce the spread of germs and illnesses by modeling and practicing healthy hygiene practices with your children (hand washing, cover your cough, etc.). We follow the Center for Disease Control recommendations and guidelines.
Students should stay home until at least 24 hours AFTER their symptoms including but not limited to vomiting, diarrhea or fever* (temperature of 100 degrees Fahrenheit or 37.8 degrees Celsius or higher) is gone. Temperature should be measured without WITHOUT ibuprofen or acetaminophen.
When visiting your healthcare provider, please ask for a doctor's note outlining directions on when it is okay for your student to return to school. Please submit this to the school nurse.
Response to Intervention
The goal of Response to Intervention (RtI) is to ensure high levels of learning for all students!
Third and fifth grade students have already began RtI. Fourth grade students will begin shortly!
Each week educators will choose a math learning standard on which they would like to focus and ensure student mastery. Educators will determine what type of support or extension students need with the standard and plan instruction accordingly. This means students may receive instruction from a teacher other than their current teacher, but only for 30 minutes each day. It is important to note that this instruction might be additional support (reteach) or increased rigor/difficulty (enrichment). After this time, they will return to their classroom for the rest of their instructional schedule.
