Summary
Prisoners are abused worldwide, kept in horrendous conditions, notably, Rikers Island in New York, and many North Korean gulags. However, prisoners in select places are being rehabilitated to be better suited to return to society, with help of the government, U.N., and groups like the Fortune Society.
