Reminder!!!
Monday, Feb 8 from 3:15-4:15- Clean elementary walls/help teachers in classrooms to prepare for Open House. Sign up sheet is outside Mrs. Webb's room. Everyone is welcome to come! We will have plenty of work to do!!!
Mark your calendars!!! We have a lot going on this semester!!! More information will be sent out the closer we get to each event.
Saturday, February 20- Meet at GreenHouse Ministries to help organize donations.
Monday, February 22 from 3:15-4:00- Help teachers at Early Learning Center
Friday, February 26- Breakfast Club at 7am in Mrs. Bowman's room.
Monday, February 29 at 7:55am- Service Club leading elementary chapel/aprons will be given out to those with 10 hours (hours MUST be turned in and verified by club sponsors no later than February 24)
* Volunteer needed to help roll and bow aprons beforehand
Wednesday, March 2- Meet at Westbrook Towers for worship service from 6:45pm-7:30pm. Boys are needed to lead singing, say prayers, read scripture, and give a devotional talk. Girls are needed to sit with the residents during service and then talk with them afterwards. Parents are welcome to attend.
Thursday, March 17- Serving MTCS Board Members Dinner
Saturday, March 19- Meet at Greenhouse Ministries to help with the Mobile Food Pantry from 8-11am (must have an adult for every three students)
Saturday, March 19- Special Kids Race- earn an hour for participating (no sponsors will be at this event)
Thursday, March 24- Serve at the Veterans Dinner (parents and 4th/6th graders needed to serve)
Friday, April 8- Breakfast Club
Saturday, April 23- Run Cougar Run (earn an hour by participating in race or working water station) More info will be available closer to event
Friday, May 13 Breakfast Club with picture slideshow
Monday, May 16th- Field Trip for those that have earned at least 15 hours. We will be eating lunch at Chilis and then touring Greenhouse Ministries and one other nonprofit.
Friday, May 20- Elementary Awards Day- Students with 15 or more hours will receive a certificate.
Please Note:
Ideas: check with nonprofits to see how you can get involved, volunteer at your church, nursing homes, pet establishments (some do have a minimum age), etc.
Club sponsors are happy to help out if you are struggling to find ways to serve or if you are not sure if something would count as hours.
