Parent Update-#KATYSTRONG
From the Principal
I wanted to take a moment to tell you how much we all miss our very precious children. As we all have been self-quarantining as needed by the COVID-19, our wonderful school district has put a lot of things in place to help our families and children during this extended school closing.
Plans are currently in process on how our teachers can connect with our Panthers remotely. Our curriculum leaders are developing ways you and your child can access learning through the Internet and have access to all the outstanding technology advances we have in Katy ISD. More details will be coming out soon; and, we appreciate your support us as we move to this new mode of instruction.
Our district has set up free meals for our children. More information is listed below with specific locations and times. This is for children 0-18 years old and meals are grab and go style.
As always, we want to continue the work we started in August and work together to keep our children growing and learning. We are all so very excited to be able to connect with our children. Their minds are young and need knowledge to continue to grow and develop. We need your support and ask you continue to keep the learning going at home. With the Internet, we are blessed to have so many resources available at our fingertips. Some of our teachers have already been reaching out and sharing lots of free learning resources, and more will reach out soon. We all want you to know that you and your children are in our minds and in our hearts everyday, and by working together we will get through this, and remember, we are the VILLAGE!
Your Proud Principal,
Dr. Martinez

Katy ISD COVID-19 Updates
Katy ISD Emergency Email Notification System
During Katy ISD’s closure, the District is working to ensure that all essential messages are communicated to our school community through as many platforms as possible. The vendor for the District’s messaging system has informed that some intended recipients of school district notifications (including email, texts and voicemail) may not be receiving messages due to high volume use of their system across the nation at this time. For this reason, the District is re-implementing its use of emergency text notifications (text messages) to add an additional level of messaging to its already existing platforms — email, website, mobile app, social and news media. Emergency text notifications will only be used by the District central office for emergency and related information (i.e. school closings, weather conditions, etc.).
Parents/guardians who wish to receive emergency text notifications from the District should make certain that their mobile phone number is registered in the Home Access Center (HAC) contact form — specifically within the “Automated Contact Text” field. Please note that it will take at least 24 hours for the system to update and recognize new entries.
Detailed instructions on how to register your mobile number can be accessed here.
Once you have opted-in, emergency text notifications will arrive from a Katy ISD assigned number such as “606-80.” However, this origin number may differ for each mobile user, depending on the service provider. Because of this, Katy ISD will identify each District text with this opening, “Katy ISD: ...”
Should you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Parent and Student Technology Support Center here.

Most service providers pledged for the next 60 days to:
