The Bridge Ensemble at Cambridge High School is pleased to present its first play of the season, and our GHSA Contest Play, Marie Antoinette by David Adjmi, on October 15 and 16, 2021, at 7:00 pm, and October 16, 2021, at 2:00 pm.

In David Adjmi’s contemporary take on the young queen of France, Marie is a confection created by a society that values extravagance and artifice. But France’s love affair with the royals sours as revolution brews, and for Marie, the political suddenly becomes very personal. From the light and breezy banter at the palace to the surging chants of “Liberté, Egalité, Fraternité!” in the streets, Marie Antoinette holds a mirror up to our contemporary society that might just be entertaining itself to death.

This performance is rated PG13 for some strong language and situations. Tickets may be purchased at www.cambridgetheatre.org by clicking on ‘Get Tickets.’

Message from FCS Transportation

School bus safety is a top priority for our district. While parents may sometimes have complaints, comments, or suggestions for bus drivers, it is essential to understand our buses run on very specific schedules. Please do not board the bus for any reason. It is illegal in the state of Georgia to impede a school bus. If you would like to speak with someone about your bus route or have a concern, please give a note to your school bus driver with your name, bus stop location, and contact information so our Transportation department can get back to you. We look forward to delivering your students safely to and from school.

Important Safety Reminder - Morning Carpool

Please be reminded that parents/guardians cannot drop students off in the back parking lot or near the bus lanes during the morning carpool. Dropping students off in these areas in the morning is a safety issue. Cars entering from either the Hwy. 9 or Cogburn Road entrances must pull around to drop off at the side of the building by the gym and exit onto Bethany Bend. Cars entering from Bethany Bend will also exit Bethany Bend.

Home Connections

Each week students participate in Social and Emotional Skills lessons during B2 (advisement time). Parents/guardians can download resources that are available by grade level to support each week's topic.
