Mr. Sam Smith ~ Principal of the Day
January 14, 2019
Today Nathan and I got to be principal. We started by greeting the people coming in and then we greeted the classrooms. We took a break to go to a FIC meeting. After that we helped with something for French bingo night. Then we finished the morning greetings. Then we had another meeting for calendar planning. After that we went to get signatures from three fourth grade teachers. We then went on lunch duty. And came back for our lunch.

Welcome to Midway Mrs. Perkins!
Happy New Year to all of the Midway Mustangs! I am so happy to be here with you while Mrs. Aldridge is out with her new baby girl.
I have been in education since 1968. I taught K-6 for 28 years in North Carolina, Florida, and Lexington One. I have two Masters Degrees, (Early Childhood Education and Administration). I was the Assistant Principal at Irmo Elementary School in Lexington Five (1998-2006) and have been retired for 12 years. I have subbed for administrators in Lexington One at Oak Grove, Pelion, Gilbert, Saxe Gotha, White Knoll Middle, Lake Murray, and now MES!
I love staying connected to education and learning new things every day! Looking forward to learning lots more about Mustangs!
I have two grown children, Stephanie and Brad. They have blessed my life with 8 grandchildren (Asa, Graham, Coen, Addie, Carlie, Gabe, Hallie, and Lila).
