A Message From Mrs. Warren

Dear Parents,

A very wise, older couple once told me to teach my children to be a blessing to others. At the time I was a young mom who wished that my children would have come with an instruction manual. I thought about that advice. It was so simple, and yet profound. I learned that I could very easily identify when my children were NOT being a blessing to others. I also learned I had to be intentional about teaching them to be mindful of others and to think about how their choices might affect others. I have often used this advice as an educator as well. It is my constant prayer that the students at CCS would be a blessing to all who come in contact with them. I love pulling the "Caught Being A Blessing" slips out of my blessing bucket. These acts of kindness, helpfulness, and obedience are truly a blessing!

Running with Jesus,

Mrs. Warren

Four days a year, Victory Field transforms itself into the largest classroom in Central Indiana when Baseball In Education takes over the ballpark. Throwing baseball into the curriculum engages students and helps them learn English, Math, Science and History in exciting new ways. As students enter the stadium, the Indians provide an in-game educational workbook to fill out as answers are given throughout the course of the game. CCS students watched the Indianapolis Indians play the Charlotte Knights.

Elementary Chapel

Mr. Colin Scheidt with Gideons International came to share with the students about the ministry of providing Bibles all over the world. Here are some of the interesting facts the students learned: 1. There are 250,000 Gideon members.

2. They passed out 93 million Bibles last year.

3. They have Bibles printed in 101 different languages.

4. Asia, Africa, and South America are where their greatest distributions are, and are also the locations where they see

Christianity growing the most.

Praise God for the power of His Word to change lives! Mr. Scheidt gave each CCS 5th grade student a copy of the New Testament after chapel.

Jr-Sr High Chapel

Lydia Sargent with Hoosiers for Life spoke about standing in the gap for the unborn. The abortion holocaust is compared to the Auschwitz holocaust. Lydia suggested students inform themselves of Incrementalism and Immediatism and to educate themselves on biblical responses to abortion.
