-mobile killing units

The Overview

Starting in 1939 Hitler ordered that the German SS and police to execute any person that looks like a racial or political threat. This could include Jews, Gypsies, Homosexuals and personal of the Soviet Union. They loaded the people onto the vans, brought them to a ditch and shot each one individually. This systematic way of killing was the first step in Hitler's Final Solution. These vans followed the German Army deep into the Soviet Union. When the gas chambers then was put into effect, these vans just became a use of transporting Jews.
