Where Students Learn to SOAR
Welcome to November
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Where did October go? We are already into 2nd quarter and will be sending home midterms very soon! Thank you to everyone who visited with us for Parent-Teacher Conferences. We appreciate your willingness to be a part of your child's learning team.
This month we have two events taking place to help those who are less fortunate than us or struggling through financial hardship. All month long we will be collecting items of food and personal care, please see specifics below. We also will be hosting our annual Giving Tree. A letter went home about being a family who adopts or is possibly in need of support. Please look for both of these in your child's folders/bookbags.
This month we will continue tutoring after school and choir practices begin as well. Please be sure to note these on your family calendar. Mrs. Krusemark and Ms. Babb have notified those who will be participating with Choir.
Here is to a happy and healthy holiday season,
Yours in Education,
Mrs. Dalania Watson

Where is the homework?
As an administrator, former teacher, and parent I value my child having reinforcement and practice for concepts they are learning at school. But on the other side of the coin, I understand that the nights are short and there are situations when time doesn't allow for "homework."
Therefore our belief is this at Telegraph Intermediate if a student doesn't finish IN-CLASS work it is then homework. We feel strongly about this system because the students have been provided the how-to and instruction so they should be able to finish on their own or with minimal support. Secondly, we ask your child reads for 10-20 minutes nightly and routinely study math facts for memorization (addition and multiplication) these flashcards can be made at home or bought at the dollar store. These two practices will be the most beneficial when it comes to supporting and reinforcing standards.
Here is to a successful school year!
