LCFF
Local Control Funding Formula Data Collection Form (LCFF) will be sent home with your child this week. We need this information to help ensure our District and our school receive all the state funding to which we are entitled. This information will also be used to determine if your student qualifies for reduced AP testing fees.
Please return this form by next week to your supervising teacher.
The LCFF online form is also available on the Parent Portal, and NOT on the student’s portal.
To create a Parent Portal account, you will need:
A valid email address
Access ID and Password from your student's school
If you do not have the Access ID and Password, please contact Mihoko via mikeuchi@sandi.net to make the request. You will need an Access ID and Password for each student you wish to link to your account.
Create your PowerSchool Parent Portal account if you have not already:
Sign into the PowerSchool Parent Portal at https://powerschool.sandi.net
Follow the instruction on How to enter LCFF data in the PowerSchool Parent Portal
If LCFF is not completed online or on paper form by October 21, you will receive calls from our office until we have a 100% participation rate. Thank you for your assistance!
Indigenous Peoples Day
A Message from Ally Action
The second Monday of October is now federally recognized as Indigenous Peoples' Day. A counter celebration to Columbus Day, Indigenous Peoples' Day recognizes the contributions, perseverance, and legacy of Indigenous Peoples in the United States. Rather than glorifying the Europeans responsible for genocide, the holiday promotes diversifying education, amplifying Native voices, and advocating for Indigenous issues.
Please take today to reflect on your prejudices and take action for Native communities. Ally Action has curated the following resources. We encourage you to seek additional resources, especially those that come directly from Indigenous individuals.
· Peoples Not Mascots Letter + Petitions
· Map Displaying Indigenous Land
· Living Nations, Living Words
· Zinn Education Project Abolish Columbus Day Campaign
· LANDBACK
Picture Proofs Arrived!
Please pick up your picture proofs with your supervising teacher. Orders should be placed by Friday, October 14.
