A Note from Mrs. Cockrell

Dear Chisholm Trail families,

It's hard to believe we have only FIVE more school days this semester!

Teachers have planned fun learning activities to close out the semester and will celebrate with a pajama day on Thursday, December 17th and a Christmas party on Friday, December 18th. Contact your child's teacher if you have any questions about these events. We will dismiss at 1:00 on Friday, December 18th.

We hope that you all enjoy your family time and that you take some time to read with your child over the break. The best way for your child to grow as a reader is to read every day. Our amazing staff is working hard to get some extra books ready to send home with your readers in addition to providing some fun incentives for them.

As we continue to work hard on campus to keep our children and staff safe, we are asking you to be diligent in reporting to us when your student is either having symptoms, has been exposed, or has received a positive COVID-19 test result. Should you have questions, you may contact me at ccockrell@sangerisd.net or our nurse, Courtney Lynch at courtney.lynch@sangerisd.net.

Don't forget to share a kind word or two for our teachers on the Chisholm Cheers button below.

We look forward to welcoming your children back on Wednesday, January 6th. Thank you for sharing your them with us!

Chisholm Cheers

Good things are happening at Chisholm Trail and we would love to hear about them. Your words of encouragement are invaluable to our teachers!

THANK YOU, PTO!!!

Our staff participated in a festive Christmas sweater contest last week as part of our 12 Days of Christmas fun. PTO provided prizes for our winners. PTO is also providing sweets for our lunch on Tuesday. We appreciate our PTO taking such good care of us!

Arrival/Dismissal

Thank you for your continued support for our procedures this year. Children are arriving no earlier than 7:35 and entering the building safely, wearing masks.

We appreciate that you have your car tags hanging on your mirror at dismissal. In the case of a forgotten tag, we will do an ID check as efficiently as possible, but we may ask you to pull up ahead of the line and wait for a moment.

Helpful Reminders

Parents, please remember to LABEL your children's belongings. (Water bottles, jackets, masks, lunch boxes, back packs, etc.) We want all items to stay with their rightful owners. When things are left behind, it is very tricky to return them if they are not labeled. Thank you for your help with this.
